Mukilteo terminal

Peak traffic volumes occur during the afternoon commute between the hours of 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm. For this time period, vehicles are advised to arrive 30-45 minutes ahead of the scheduled departure. For non-peak travel, a minimum of 20 minutes in advance is suggested.

Walk-on passengers should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to sailing.

There is no parking available at the Mukilteo ferry terminal. There are a few short-term spots available for passenger pick-up/drop-off. Paid parking near the terminal is managed by the City of Mukilteo and is limited to 4 hours. For more information, see the City of Mukilteo website. If you would like to park for more than 4 hours, please consider using the Park and Ride lots in Lynnwood or Everett and then using transit to get to the ferry terminal.

If you're taking your bike onto the ferry at Mukilteo, you can skip the line of vehicle traffic and purchase tickets at a tollbooth. Then, take the green bike lane to the staging area provided near the terminal’s maintenance building. The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal does not have bike racks.

Bicyclists should arrive 20 minutes prior to departure time to be loaded at the beginning of loading process. If a bicyclist arrives after vehicle loading has begun, they will be loaded at the end of the load. Please walk your bike on and off the ferry to avoid passenger injury.

Sound Transit operates the Sounder N-Line for commuter rail service from Mukilteo to Seattle with a stop in Edmonds. The Mukilteo Station for the N-Line is located at 920 First Street, SW of the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal, which is about an 800 feet walking distance from terminal. The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal is about a one-hour drive from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Depending on traffic, the fastest route is to follow signs from the airport to WA-18 East, then take the I-5 North exit to Seattle. Travel on I-5 for about 30 miles, then take the WA-525 North exit 182 to Mukilteo. Follow WA-525 directly to the terminal.
